Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! New Year, new layout. After 10 years ehehe

January to March are the busiest months of my life. We only have 1 month for prelims and a month for finals. We'll be having our Prelims next week, and we're behind in most of our classes, except Peds and Ethics. Wahoo.. I am so looking forward to Summer. I need sleep. Even on weekends, I need to get up by 6. Imagine that. Except for today, when I woke up at 9, thank God.

About my New Year's resolutions, I'm happy and very proud to say, that I only cussed about 5 times the past week. From an everyday to a mere 5 times! Imagine that!! Hopefully I would've eradicated that cussing trait by end of February. Or next week perhaps :)

I need to have my bed changed. I bumped my head, for the nth time, while going back to bed after peeing. I was so bangag and the room was so dark that I didn't see the rails in the double decker bed. Arrgh. I'm now nursing a bump in my forehead. And it hurts.

A very long week ahead of me. I'm so used to it na. I really can't wait for summer.

Happy new year! And since it's a new year for me, I also made resolutions - that I'm sure I won't be able to keep..

1. No to cramming! Stop procrastinating! - I'm the world's biggest procrastinator and I hate it. Every first week of the year, the semester, the school year, I always seem so enthusiastic in doing things on time. But as time goes by, and I get more toxic with duty and school work, I get less productive in terms of doing work on time, and am just so lazy in studying. I hate it.

2. Patience is a virtue of Pikachu - according to my sister, Ciara, 5 years ago. I am very very impatient. But I can say that with kids, I couldn't believe that I'm really patient. I was able to take care of Pao for almost 2 weeks, which is an achievement, since he had a number of tantrums while I was there. He had his most violent tantrums with only me and Ate in the apartment. Ate Mae is the most impatient person in the world. Which only means that I'm the only one who tried to appease Pao, which I did successfully. I always take care of Gogo as well. Gogo and Pao are the most active toddlers I know. They never seem to get tired. Very good, Din. But the question is, how come I couldn't be patient in dealing with people my own age? Mystery to me.

3. Have time for yourself - I don't have time for myself. Really.

4. Stop being such a primadonna. Mama tells me every time I get mad with my sisters that I'm such a primadonna. But since Chi's the prima, and Ciara's the donna, I am called the diva. Bad. I hate being labeled as such because I think I'm not a primadonna. Maybe at home lang, but still it's a bad thing..

I'm loving my life. Even with all the pressures, I seem to still be content with everything that's been going on. Even with all my problems in school, I still remain strong. God's been good to me and my family, and I'm so thankful, and I never forget to thank Him for all the blessings He continue to shower upon us. I am so blessed to have my dad, healthy again, cause flashback to a year ago: He had MI, and January 2005 was the longest month in my life. God is good. Thank you Lord :) Plus, my frenemies back in 1st year are now my good and trusted friends. I am really blessed. We finally put our differences and shallowness behind us. We started anew and that's what matters. The only sad thing about 2005 is Trisha leaving me and our friends.I miss her so much. Love you trish..

Counting the days.. not!

Only a few more days til I come home. Mixed emotions (for the nth time). I'm enjoying my stay here, but I'm also looking forward to coming home because I miss my family, friends, but not school. I still have to study for my monthly exams because as I mentioned in one or more of my previous posts, I will be having my exams when I come back, which is a drag because I don't have the energy to study since I'm enjoying myself here. Really. Even though I have grown really fat. Wala pang 2 weeks ako nandito and yet baboy nako. Gawd.

I went to Johns Hopkins Hospital last December 23rd, and I was awed by what I saw. JHH by the way is like the best hospital in America (or the world, that is). I've never seen such a beautiful hospital before. Haha crazy, I used the adjective beautiful for a hospital. But seriously, when I saw and toured the hospital, I said to myself, I want to work here someday. Basta, the thought of me working in a place like that made me want to strive harder and made me want to graduate agad. After 10 minutes, hello?! Masaya ang college ahaha. Pero really, I can see myself living here in Baltimore in a few years. Mga 5 years. At most.

I will be coming home on Sunday! Hindi na ko sanay sa mainit. Swear. Mainit na saken (ngayon ha) yung 50 F - which is 10 C. Good luck nalang saken. Mainit sa Pilipinas.

Di ko napansin, nagpasko na pala. Iba Christmas dito eh, mas masaya magpasko sa bahay namin, kumpleto kasi pamilya. Pero fun din dito coz kasama naman namin sila Tito francis.
Paolo is so big na! He's a very smart and cute boy! Very very smart. Nakakatuwa. He doesn't want me to go home to the PI kasi mawawalan daw siya ng playmate. Haha. Cute! Daldal.

White Christmas

I won't be having a white Christmas since it won't be snowing come Christmas day. Waah. I'm in the United States for real. Thanks Ma and Pa for the trip :) I super duper love you guys! I'm enjoying my stay here. Pero I still have to study for my exams. Buti pa classmates ko, they're done with the exams na! ako.. Ummm.. ahahahaa It's 1pm here, and it's 2am back in Manila. Thank God I didn't suffer from jet lag. Maybe pagbalik ko sa Manila, dun ko maexperience. Sana wag kasi diretso pasok na ko when I come home.

Shopping galore here. Super fun.

What's more fun is the fact that I'm with Pao! Big boy na siya and he's super smart ha.

I'm leaving tomorrow! haha! Man i'm on a high.. Since yesterday, I couldn't think about anything else but my trip, so.. I wasn't able to really study for OB, english and ethics - my exams kanina.

I don't know what to write. Still not yet done packing.

Will update when I get there. Duh. As if naman nay nagbabasa nitong blog ko. aahahaha

Almost Christmas

It's December na! Wow. Time sure flies when you're having fun.. I'm enjoying school again. Although my sched really kills me, I'm happy. And finally I can say that I really am learning. Hahaha Not that I didn't learn things before, it's just that I'm more into studying now. Sobrang hassle lang kasi sobrang nakakapagod! 2 more days, then long weekend na!

I'm enjoying soccer, which is my PE this sem.. The only thing I don't like about it is what the sun already did and will continue to do to my skin. I am soo tan. But it's okay, I embraced the heat. Haha. It's not like people will look look look at me that way anyway. So it's cool.

We celebrated Abbie's birthday at my place last Friday. Sooooo fun. Reunion of 1-7 peeps (so sad Jaye and Gra couldn't make it, Evan na ren). The ones from 2-7 cut their make-up Pedia class to be able to party. Thanks Kenken for being there. He cut his RLE class (ata - he had a return demo on IM injections eh) for it. Hating UST right now..

NSTP-CWTS sucks big time. I like helping, that's why I took up nursing (ulul), but do I really have to sacrifice my Sundays for it narin? Call me insensitive and all that crap, but we hardly get to rest na nga, heck I don't even have time for myself anymore, then we have to go pa to our CWTS whatevers. Bull. We should have had this NSTP last year. Swear. UST has to change their curriculum. Students are busier when they reach higher levels. Don't they know that?! Arrrgh!

Why in the world do we have classes till the 20th?! We had the Paskuhan on the 16th last year! I was looking forward to attending it pa naman. Now I'm gonna miss it. At least the college allowed me to leave before the 20th. And allowed me to have my exams when I can back this January (yey!)

UST looks so beautiful on December evenings. I was able to see for the 2nd time how the campus transforms into this magical christmassy place at night. Beautiful christmas lights all over the school, giant christmas tree in the field, the main building looking spectacular and grand with the lights. Haay. I love Christmas.

I have to study pa for nutrition. Badtrip. I studied sooo hard for my pedia long quiz kanina, but no, only 5% of what I studied/reviewed were in the test. My gawd. Ewan ko nalng.

Long weekend!!

Belated happy birthday Giselle!!

Long weekend.. No school tomorrow (today na pala kasi 2am na).. It's supposed to be a long weekend, but I had to go to school for our effing NSTP orientation this morning. And guess what?! My only free day starting next week would be Saturday. Yes, may pasok ako pag Sunday. Bull. And di lang siya basta pasok, 9-4 pasok. Hello?! Sundays are supposed to be holy. Whatever. I so hate UST right now. Everyday naman ata eh. Grr..

I watched Prime with Ma, Tita Grace, Chi, Liaa, Cara, Te Mae, and Rj this evening at Powerplant. I so love the movie. Even though Uma Thurman and Bryan Greenberg's characters didn't end up together, I left the theater with a huge smile on my face. Every time Bryan (Jake of OTH) was in the scene, I'd go, "Ang gwapo nya" I swear. Haaaaay..

Tambak-tambak na naman problema ko. So many quizzes this week, that I'm certain I won't be having time for myself again. Plus the fact that our exams would be on Dec 16, 19, and 20. My flight's on the 17th so I don't know how I can take the exams earlier. I'm going to talk to my professors on Tuesday nalang.

I hope the college allows me to take my monthly exams before I leave for the States. I don't want to be on my vacation studying Pedia. Aaah.

Let's sit and talk awhile

What's with the title? I have no idea. Haha I've been in school for 3 weeks already, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I know I get exhausted every single day, but I learn so much everyday. Except of course, in Physics, since my prof has been absent for 2 consecutive meetings already. It's like a repeat of what happened when I was a senior in High School. Our Physics teacher rarely met with us. Hay nako. But I'm not complaining. I'm just hoping that Physics this time around would be easier for me.

Sobrang nakakapagod duty namin this sem. 7-12 every Wednesdays and Thursdays. Grabe. Orientation and duty na agad yesterday. I was assigned to do the immunizations yesterday and today. Yesterday, ako unang una nagbigay ng DPT. At kanina, my partner had colds, so my CI told me na ako daw magbigay ng bakuna. Ayos diba. Haha. I was so scared the first time I did it, but what the heck. It was fun. The hard part about it is that you're giving the vaccines to kids 9 months old and younger. This morning, since Nis had colds, I prepared the MMR vaccine and the Streptomycin for the people who had TB. Ako naginject ng Strep ha. Sobrang nakakatuwa! I used to be so scared of injections. I think I still am. I don't like being given shots eh.

PE day tomorrow.. I'm so excited to play football! Haha!
